Celebrate Ayn Rand’s 120th Birthday
“You’ve shown me that life is glorious, courageous, and purposeful and joyful and valuable—and for all that and for all the pleasure, I thank you for being here today.”
—Raymond Newman
Radio host Raymond Newman begins his 1980 interview with Ayn Rand by describing how he began to plan for his radio shows.
He tells the audience: “I sat down and made a list of the people I wanted to interview. People I thought had something important to say, something worth hearing and people who achieved and accomplished things that merited recognition.
“I immediately put one name at the top of the list.
“You can imagine, then, the great pleasure I have when I tell you that my special guest today and for the next episode is that person, Miss Ayn Rand.”
In her final hour-long substantive interview, Ayn Rand explains:
- What can save America
- Who is a monster
- The critical factor to happiness
